Atef is an architect, urbanist and consultant with a focus on cultural projects, where architecture, history and heritage converge. His professional experience covers a wide array of strategic and cultural development projects in the Middle East. Typical project types include strategic regional development plans, cultural destinations and museums. Atef’s  practice is informed by a continuous  research agenda concentrating on the cultural and urban heritage of cities in the Middle East and North Africa region, with a focus on the Arabian Peninsula. His scholarly contribution is recognized through a number of academic fellowships, conference participations and journal publications. Atef’s country experience covers the UK, Germany, and the GCC countries.
